Yes it’s annoying if someone posts under a similar username but it’s not as bad as someone impersonating a real person and writing bad things under his name. That’s nearly like libel.

There’s no reason for me to believe an MRA is responsible any more than there is to believe it’s someone posing as an MRA. Where’s the evidence to say an MRA is responsible? I don’t think that “jackassery” is sufficient proof itself, it can be easily faked.

Um, you do realize that someone is posting on r/MR, impersonating someone r/MR hates, and making them try to look bad, right? That is sufficient reason to think it’s an MRA.

Now if it were done on, let’s say, the feminism subreddit, I’d be more inclined to merely say it’s an anti-feminist, and not necessarily an MRA. But on r/MR?

@qwert According to your logic, AnnArchist and any MRA post published in manboobz could just as well be a fake from a feminist. Even more, maybe all MRA are feminists: they often pretend that feminists sometimes trigger violence against women to justify their existence. Then, wouldn’t it make sense that they invented a group prone to sexist behavior to justify themselves to men? But it’s not all. Maybe feminists aren’t women, because “women” aren’t humans. They’re robots sent from the future to avoid rebellion. They replaced women (at least western ones) and keep making babies trough the means of genetic manipulation. If the baby is a female, they wait till she’s grown, kill her and replace her by a feminist bot. They didn’t replace men because they sooo strong and need them as slaves, or batteries.

But, apart from that, occam. Maybe it’s not an MRA, just a stalker who happen to look like an MRA, talk like an MRA, walk like an MRA (by which I means same ideas, same way of formulating them). Chances that it’s a feminist in disguise? Slimmers than the odds that santa does exists but retired at the same time you started questioning his existence.

Also, if occam’s razor isn’t enough for you, ask yourself what were the effects untended? Make MRAs look bad? They could make them look childish and douchebags; that’s hardly bad compared to some of the heinous stuff we’ve read.
AnnArchist looks bad too, but whoever manboobz_ is, AnnArchist is still responsible for his reaction.

In all honesty I think it’s more likely that this is an idiot member of Reddit having a pop at David rather than some conspiracy or other. As there’s no doubt that David has been annoying quite a few people over there as of late, as is his M.O., as it would seem. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if my “insano backwards fantasy” turned out to be correct, it’s not exactly stretching the bounds of possibility is it? I mean, how surprised would you be exactly? As surprised as if an Alien spacecraft landed on your lawn for example?

As for the “micropenis comment” I, thankfully, have no knowledge as to the state of David’s genitalia and I’d rather hear no more about the matter! I certainly don’t want to see David attempt to disprove this assertion!
