MGTOWers, a little late to the party, try their hand at a Downfall parody video

How to make a hilarious “Downfall” parody, in two steps.

Step One: Make one like this.

Step Two: Don’t make one like this.

Naturally, the second video here went over like gangbusters on the Men’s Rights subreddit. One critic declared:

Another had this suggestion:

I dunno. “Your_Fun_Counselor” doesn’t really strike me as being very much fun at all.

  1. Back for a link drop.

@Howardbannister - remember how you were talking a while back about how you thought the Swedish Model was somehow a good thing? Here’s an article by Petra Ostergren (doing a PhD at Lund Uni on this very subject) relaying the very negative effects on the Swedish sex workers themselves, from interviewing those sex workers.

It’s long, and grim reading in places, you should read it.

They’re are currently attempts to implement the Swedish Model in Northern Ireland and in Scotland. Which would be a huge setback for sex worker’s rights.

If you care about sex worker’s rights, push for full decriminalisation.

Contrast with the effects of decriminalisation in New Zealand and New South Wales (Aus). Trafficking has almost disappeared (scroll halfway down for that bit):

  2. The corn is GOING ITS OWN WAY!!

Paul Elam’s out standing in a field in Iowa giving a speech. “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears.”

  3. Okay, Katz wins, everybody.

  4. Okay, I’m not especially familiar with Maggie McNeill, and I don’t have any particular reason to doubt that she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to sex work and trafficking.

    But this:

Neofeminism is actually nothing more than another flavor of Neomarxism, that thankfully-discredited ersatz “philosophy” which seeks to provoke warfare between two large segments of society so as to create the chaos necessary to grab power for itself.

… makes it pretty clear that she has no idea what “Marxism” means, which doesn’t bode well for her credibility.

    Also, this:

This is my own coinage, because I refuse to apply the term “feminist” to a sort of twisted male chauvinist who believes that women are not good enough as we are and should therefore strive to think, act, work and look as much like men as possible.

    [...]

… but in the meantime the neofeminists and their castrated lap-dogs have become quite proficient at warping any and every discussion on the rights of individual women into a means of furthering their own anti-male, anti-sex agenda.

Wait, so neofeminists want women to become men… but they’re also anti-male? Bwuh?

@Howardbannister – remember how you were talking a while back about how you thought the Swedish Model was somehow a good thing?

Right, that’s totally how it happened. I wasn’t making a point about your many hypocrisies, and I totally made a value judgment on the Swedish model.

    Or not.

So you still want to go back to full-criminalization instead???

(note: he doesn’t, and neither do I, but that’s how his arguments work, so…….)

  6. If Maggie McNeill is the one I’m thinking of, she’s also full of seriously problematic Whitey McSplainerson theories on race. I’m sure that’s also right up Joe’s racist alley.

She pretty much pulls everything out of her ass.

Is the First Joe still gloating that a lot of corn crops failed this year due to the drought? It is true that the drought disaster will affect food and gas prices, which will have a disproportionate impact on the poorest people in the world. I don’t see why anyone would celebrate that, though.

As for the midwestern farmers, they do have some good news for this year’s coming crops of winter wheat. Meteorologists have predicted the El Niño weather pattern will return, meaning the jet stream will shift south over the northern and middle plains states. El Niño causes the continental US to have more snow than usual during the winter, which enriches the soil and makes bumper crops of winter wheat to harvest in the late spring.

One of the reasons for this year’s drought was that the jet stream was higher north than usual, and it resulted in a dome of high pressure that prevented the development of thunderstorms. This was the link between the calm spring of fewer tornadoes and the drought this summer. This dome of high pressure has finally moved on, but it is too late for many of the corn crops. The only bright spot in this is that the grape crops in the plains states that were able to survive the harsh conditions should make excellent wine. So this is a good year to buy wine produced in the midwest.

If any of this is actually interesting to anyone else besides me, you can read more about it at accuweather’s long range forecasts for winter 2012

  8. hellkell, isn’t White Person Ass the most reliable source of all?

  9. @bionicmommy

I don’t see why anyone would celebrate that, though.

Because Joe is a self-centered asshole who would be glad if his doomsday prophecies came true because he could then say “I told you so!”. Actual people suffering are unimportant.
